The Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has distributed the first set of digitized Certificate of Occupancy to successful applicants under the Oyo State Home Owners Charter (OYHOC) scheme. The event was held at the Government House, Agodi, Ibadan. While presenting the certificates to the beneficiaries, Governor Makinde noted that the initiative came to fore after a series of attempts by the previous administrations to issue a digitized Certificate of Occupancy failed.
In his speech, the state Commissioner for Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Barrister Abiodun Abdu-Raheem said 200 Certificate of Occupancy has been approved for the first set of beneficiaries and work has begun on the second batch of successful applicants. The event was graced by top government officials and stakeholders in the housing sector.
