COVID-19 cases in Nigeria has exceeded 10,000 mark with 307 new cases reported by the country. The new cases announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC takes infections in the country to 10,162, out of which 3,007 have been discharged with 287 losing their lives.
Data from the NCDC showed that the cases were spread across 14 states and the Federal Capital Territory, with Lagos accounting for the highest number of infections for the day with 188 cases. The rest include: 44 in FCT, Ogun-19, Kaduna-14, Oyo-12, Bayelsa-9, Gombe-5, Kano and Delta have 3, 2 each in Imo, Rivers, Niger and Bauchi, while Plateau and Kwara states recorded 1 each.
